The 75th anniversary of the State of Israel Place du Trocadéro in Paris was introduced by speeches from Yonathan Arfi, President of the Conseil représentatif des institutions juives de France (Crif), and Ariel Goldmann, President of the Fonds social juif unifié (FSJU). Gil Taieb, Vice-Chairman of Crif and FSJU, was celebrated as the event’s initiator.
Speeches by the President of the State of Israel, Isaac Herzog, and then by Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, were broadcast live.
Clément Beaune, France's Minister for Transport, then spoke and recalled the importance of the France-Israel friendship. Yoav Galant, Israeli Minister of Defense, also gave a speech on the Israeli French 75-year relations.
The Abrahamic Accords were also in the spotlight throughout the day, with an Abrahamic tent erected for the occasion. Numerous Moroccan consuls and representatives of the Ambassadors of the United States, Morocco, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) were present. Political and public figures were also present alongside delegations from Morocco and the United Arab Emirates.
Various clips and videos recounting the history and the specificities of the State of Israel punctuated the day, along with clips from UAE and Morocco.
The celebrations continued with a variety of concerts and events. Enrico Macias, Michel Fugain, the percussion group Mayumana, Ishtar, Frederic Zeitoun, Cabra Casay, El Ahjoui, a group of Moroccan musicians, and David Serrero, Jérémy Habbabou, Sharon Laloum, Siarah... performed before a large audience and youth movements.
The day ended with La Marseillaise and La Hatikva, sung by Laura Mayne, with the entire audience.
