Press release - Crif welcomes establishment of diplomatic relations between Israel and Morocco

 

 

Crif welcomes the announcement of the establishment of full diplomatic relations between the State of Israel and the Kingdom of Morocco and hopes that they mark the beginning of a warm and prosperous relationship between the two Nations.

 

For Crif President Francis Kalifat: "This announcement is excellent news for all those who have peace in the Middle East at heart. French Jews, a significant number of whom come from the long history of Judaism in Morocco, are particularly delighted of this normalization between Israel and Morocco and hope that it will contribute more generally to the strengthening of the dialogue between Jews and Muslims. "

 

Crif also recalls the existence of a very large Moroccan community in Israel, the main vector of the Francophonie in the country.
