"The Crif aknowledges the decision of the French Minister of Foreign Affairs, to organize a conference on peace in the Middle East on May 30.
The Crif however regrets the absence of Israeli and Palestinian parts.
The Crif recalls its support for a just and lasting peace that guarantees the non-negotiable security of the State of Israel and that will lead to the creation of a Palestinian state.
The Crif notes, however, that Hamas and other movements financed by certain countries in the region, continue to carry out terrorist acts in Israel.
The Crif hope that the Paris conference will not elude the central question of the consistency of these terrorist acts, which are an obstacle to negotiations and whose responsibility also lies with states that fund them.
The Crif also asks the French authorities to clarify their position on the jewish character of the Temple Mount, challenged by a Holocaust denying and scandalous resolution, adopted by France at UNESCO.
The Crif finally denounces the terms of a French initiative to support call by intellectuals who's, for some of them, hate of Israel is notorious.
This call does nothing to help peace and almost leads to justification of the recent murders of Israelis."
