Crif - Hyper Cacher 2015 terrorist attack: tribute to the victims

On January 10, 2021, six years after the Hyper Cacher attack, Crif organized a ceremony to pay tribute to the victims. This year, this time of remembrance was held without audience, and was live broadcasted.

 

The families and relatives of the victims as well as some hostages - to whom Crif reaffirms its unfailing support - were, as every year, present at the ceremony.

 

Many public and political figures responded to Crif's invitation and attended the ceremony. Among them, Gerald Darmanin, Minister of the Interior, Eric Dupont-Moretti, Minister of Justice and Keeper of the Seals, Jean-Michel Blanquer, Minister of National Education, Florence Parly, Minister of the Armed Forces, Gabriel Attal, spokesperson of the Government, and Elisabeth Moreno, Minister Delegate in charge of equality between women and men, diversity and equal opportunities.

 

The Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo - accompanied by many district mayors and deputies - and the President of the Ile-de-France Regional Council Valerie Pecresse were also present at the ceremony.

 

François Hollande, Manu el Valls, and Bernard Cazeneuve, respectively President of the Republic, Prime Minister, and Minister of the Interior at the time of the attack, also attended the tribute.

 

Religious and community representatives were also on site, including Haim Korsia, Chief Rabbi of France, Ariel Goldmann, President of the Unified Jewish Social Fund, Joel Mergui, President of the Consistory, and Monsignor Thibault Verny, Auxiliary Bishop representing Monsignor Aupetit.

 

Riss and Marika Bret from Charlie Hebdo newspaper were also present.

 

The ceremony was rythmed by the lighting of twelve candles in memory of the four victims of Hyper Cacher, Yoav Hattab, Yohan Cohen, Philippe Braham and François-Michel Saada, victims of the attack on Charlie Hebdo, forces of order assassinated in their function, victims of antisemitism in the world, Sarah Halimi, Mireille Knoll and all the victims of terrorism in France and around the world.

 

Three candles were lit for Samuel Paty, assassinated last October, for the victims of the attack on the Notre-Dame Basilica in Nice, and for the French soldiers killed in Mali, as part of the fight against terrorism.
