Israel will close Consulate in Marseille. Prime Minister Netanyahu responds to Roger Cukierman

"My Government remains fully committed to the Jews of France".
Benjamin Netanyahu responded to the letter that the President of CRIF had sent him, after the announcement of the closure of the Israeli Consulate in Marseille.

"As a result of government cutbacks, the Foreign Ministry had no choice but to close many of its diplomatic missions abroad, the Consulate in Marseille," said Israeli Prime Minister in his response letter to Roger Cukierman.

"This decision does not diminish the strength of ties and solidarity of Israel with the Jewish community of Marseilles, you know. My Government remains fully committed to the Jews of France and we will maintain our relations with the Jewish community of Marseilles through the Israeli Embassy in Paris, "concludes Benjamin Netanyahu.
