Crif meets Laurence Rossignol, minister of families, children and women's rights

Laurence Rossignol, Minister of families, children and women's rights, received a delegation from Crif on June 27.

The Minister requested the assistance of the Crif Women's Committee to implement projects

The meeting was requested by the CRIF, following the Minister's statements on the Islamic fashion collections by some clothing distribution labels.
 
The discussion focused on the role of women in the Jewish religion and on a comparative situation between clothing attributes within the various components of French society, compared to political expression in other cultures.
 
The discussion also focused on the organizations represented in the French Federation of Families (UNAF).
 
The Minister also wished to learn about the approach of the Jewish community on family issues, including the association NOA - Oser le dire.
  
Finally, the Minister asked the Crif to continue its actions fighting the ongoing genocide and femicide of the Yezidis by Daesh. The Minister requested the assistance of the Crif Women's Committee to implement projects to help Yezidi women and children.
 
The delegation was composed of actual Crif President, Roger Cukierman, Francis Kalifat, new elected Crif President, Nathalie Cohen-Beizerman, member of the executive Board and president of the Women's Commission, and Robert Ejnes, executive Director.
