The head of French diplomacy is to meet the President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, in order to discuss with him re-launching the peace process. Philippe Douste-Blazy told Roger Cukierman that this mission had been prepared urgently and that he will not this time meet the Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, nor his Israeli counterpart Tsipi Livni who is in Washington. But he intends to go to Israel shortly.
