CRIF meets with the France-Israel Friendship Group of the French Senate

At a breakfast given by the Friendship Group for CRIF’s executive committee, Philippe Richert expressed his satisfaction with the quality of the dialogue between France and Israel: “Tensions have abated and the will to work together has been reaffirmed.”

Roger Cukierman expressed the view that 2005 had been a “happy year”, marked by a 50% drop in the number of anti-Semitic acts in France and the warming of relations between Paris and Jerusalem.

The President of CRIF told the senators of his concerns over Hamas and Iran, calling on them to maintain a firm attitude in their regard.
