Some of these Ile de France communities were the most exposed during the wave of anti-Semitism that swept France from 2000 to 2005.
“This commission is at the heart of CRIF’s concerns. It deserves our full attention, and its resources must equal the challenges faced by Jews living in Ile de France,” said Ariel Goldmann to the CRIF delegates from the six départements (counties) surrounding the city of Paris. The ground had been well prepared by multiple visits from CRIF’s leaders, including Richard Prasquier, the current president, to each of the départements.
To succeed in this mission, Ariel Goldmann will be supported by Haim Musicant, general director, and Jean-François Strouf, the CRIF staff member in charge of the Ile de France region.
