Crif/World - Crif Digital Department meets with the World Jewish Congress in New York

On June 13, Crif Digital Department met with the WJC (World Jewish Congress - WJC) team. An opportunity to discuss each other's digital strategies and possible partnerships for the coming months.

On the occasion of the annual Jerusalem Post Conference on Sunday, Crif traveled to New York to meet with some of its associative and institutional partners. Among them, the World Jewish Congress (WJC).

Crif, being a member of the World Jewish Congress (WJC) - President of Crif is Deputy-President of the WJC - meet regularly with its American counterparts.

Every year, the WJC offers the digital campaign 'We Remember' on social media in the weeks leading up to January 27, the International Day of Remembrance for Holocaust Victims. For three years, Crif has joined this global campaign by creating original content and sharing the content of the WJC.

Crif and the WJC wish to develop more partnerships around themes of digital campaigns based on common issues, and this meeting has made it possible to discuss common campaigns to implement.

The two associations also discussed their work of moderation and reporting of hate content on the Internet. Crif exposed the techniques used to effectively report illegal content identified and emphasized the work of raising awareness among Internet users

Sacha Dratwa, Director of Digital Communication at WJC, was very concerned about the anti-Semitism present in the United States. He highlighted the important work of the WJC and local Jewish associations in the fight against the delegitimization of Israel, especially on American campuses. He also testified his support to the French Jews against the significant rise of anti-Semitic acts in France.

The fight against anti-Semitism, whatever form it takes, must be done in a global way and engage the nations of the world. Crif is happy to be able to count on the unfailing mobilization of the World Jewish Congress.
